They will Soar on Wings like Eagles

” But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

~Isaiah 40:31

This verse has been so heavy in my spirit lately and has become another one of my favorites. So I had to share with you guys! This verse not only reminds us that God is our revival but that we will also reach new heights if will just wait, trust, and have faith in him.

To wait on the Lord means to confidently expect that he will fulfil his promises to us. To hope with the knowledge that his word will come to past. Waiting and hoping go hand in hand, for if we have no hope of expectation we will eventually give up hoping and waiting. But if we have someone we are for sure that we can count on we wait, hope, and confidently expect them to fulfil their promise just as we should do with God. His word is forever true and will never fail!

We know very well of God’s faithfulness, his lovingkindness, his promises, and his power. Time and time again he has opened doors and made ways for us. So we know and understand what he is capable of and the glory of his goodness. We know Gods promises for us, so we can have faith and confidently expect him to fulfil them to us.

There was a time about a year and 4 months ago that I lost my job and my apartment all at the same time. I had to move back in with my mom and on top of all the disappointment she lost her apartment. Ultimately, I had to move into a friend’s house in Sanford and drove from Sanford to either Lillington, Dunn, or Erwin almost 7 days a week for 11 months. (Read more about my faith race in my upcoming book: Beautifully Broken: My Story for His Glory)I had no choice but to give it all to God and trust that he would bring my out.

I kept speaking life on my situation, I kept decreeing, I kept declaring that God would provide an apartment for my girls and I. I kept hope. I kept waiting CONFIDENTLY on the Lord and on Feburary 6, 2019 my girls and I moved in to our very own apartment! God is SOOO GOOD! And worthy of all praise!

He truly renews our strength. Makes us new again. Gives us a new strength. He said right there in his word we will soar… To soar means to ascend to a higher, more exalted level. So not only does he give us the strength to get through troubled waters but he gives us the ability to reach a new level, to go beyond just coming out of our situations. That is truly an awesome father!

So I want to encourage you tonight and remind you to dare to trust God. Wait confidently on him! Allow him into your situation, allow him to be your revival.

Walk by Faith.Move w/o Fear.
