Dads, God chose you too!

A lot of times we see moms doing a lot and sometimes they have no choice but to do everything. But today I want to encourage and push the many fathers out there to become the fathers God called you to be. And if you already are I commend you.

The Bible says that fathers are the head of the household. They are responsible for teaching the child obedience. They are responsible for primary discipline and the Mother’s discipline is an extension. An extension is a part that is added. So whatever discipline the mother does should be an addition to what the father has already done.

But fathers be careful. Just because you have authority doesn’t mean you use it in the wrong way. According to the word, you should raise children up not to react in resentment but with gentle guidance.

Dads, you must also bring a child up “in the training and admonition of the Lord.” Bringing them up to have a love for God, teaching them to have a relationship with God, to worship Him, to put and keep God first, to be doers of the word.

God gives that responsibility to fathers. To provide in every aspect. Spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially, etc. Dads don’t put your responsibility down. Kids need repetition. This is a continuous job that God chose you for. Love your children tenderly.
