Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans i have for you. “ declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

~Jeremiah 29:11

Im starting my first official blog post with the bible verse posted above: Jeremiah 29:11. When I read this verse it gives me peace. When things aren’t going the way I feel that should go it helps me to remember that my life is not my own and my plans don’t matter. What matters is God plans for my life because his plans are far greater than anything that i could ever imagine.
So my goal every blog post is to help my readers to better understand God’s promises to us as well as encourage them to have the confidence to apply these promises to the appropriate time in their lives.

So Lets dig in!

“For I know the plans I have for you.” declares the Lord.
– God is all-knowing. He is the beginning and the end, nothing is surprising to him because he has already written our stories until the end. It’s already written, you just have to believe it. And as I mentioned before this part of the verse gives me so much peace. I say this because, well believe me, I have experienced many disappointments in the last 3 years in my career, my 6 year marriage, and in losing my apartment. Things definitely did not turn out the way I planned but guess what, I can assure you its exactly what God planned. When I was going through all these different adversities I still had peace knowing that there is still a greater plan for me. Man what an amazing thing knowing that what you may be going through right now are you are reading this blog is not the end. You must hold on firm to his word and his promises. He will bring you out. 🙂

Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you
*Prosper: to succeed in an enterprise or activity/to become strong and flourishing

This part is soo powerful for me because as I mentioned before I have experienced many disappointments in the past 3 years. I could not have made it where I am today without God and him being my guide. Being in between jobs my entire career was, I feel, the biggest disappointment of all. I had questions, I doubted myself, and most of all I lost so much confidence in myself. But to hear someone so powerful not only say that they have plans for your life, but their plans will give you success, guaranteed success, man that is something indescribable. That is what God is telling us here. He is for us and if we would just follow him he will bring us success. That is worthy of the most high praise! I THANK HIM AND PRAISE HIS NAME FOR THAT PROMISE ALONE! If you have been through a storm no matter what it is you would be thanking him too!

Plans to give you hope and a future

Hope: expect with confidence, desire with expectation of fulfillment

EXPECT WITH CONFIDENCE. Have CONFIDENCE in him. To have confidence is have trust, hope, and assurance in a person. God wants us to know that he will never fail us. His word is true and he is faithful. Stay faithful to God, stay connected with him, stand firm on his word and EXPECT him to move on your behalf. Give him the desires of your heart, praise him through the storm and thank him for answering your prayers. Hold your head high having confidence that he will give you success in life. He hears you, he will prosper you, and he can give you a future better than you could every imagine .
