“You are my hiding place. You shall preserve me from trouble. You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.”
~ Psalm 32:7
A couple of weeks ago during my worship time I was worshiping to the song “Never Alone” by Tori Kelly. This is my worship song you guys! This song has touched my spirit many times because it reminds me of the present help I had during my hard times. The help I didn’t realize I had at the time. I absolutely love this song. It is based on the scripture Psalm 32:7 typed above. So let’s dig in shall we!
You are my hiding place.
A hiding place is a place for concealing someone. A refuge. A retreat. To conceal means to keep out of sight, to cover, to camouflage. A woman who puts concealer on her face try’s to hide dark spots or any undesired blemish from being seen. God is and does the same thing to us. He is our concealer who hides us from undesired the things not of him. How great a love!
This is also compared to a retreat. A retreat is defined as a quiet or secluded place in which one can rest or relax. A period of seclusion for the purpose of prayer and meditation. Just imagine for minute resting and relaxing in God. What a beautiful place to be right? Especially for the mamas that are reading this!
You shall preserve me from trouble.
Not only does he say he will conceal us but he says he will preserve us from trouble. Now when you’re preserving something you are keeping it safe from harm, taking care of, maintaining it’s original state. So you mean to tell me not only will God hide me but he will also keep me safe trouble??? Yes! Without a doubt! My God! My God! What an amazing comfort!
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
Deliverance is the action of being rescued or set free. Set Free! He sets us free! Pure amazing! Worthy of all the praise!
If you are going through anything I want to leave you with the comfort of knowing that you are not alone. Now or ever.
Walk by Faith.Move w/o Fear.
