If you say you have faith but don’t believe is it faith? What good is it to have faith but not put it to work? What does it benefit?
“But do you want to know , O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?”
~James 2:20&21
Abraham put his faith to work when he offered his son and BELIEVED God would fulfill his promise. You see, the biggest part of having faith is believing. Believing God to do what he he says he will do. Believing he will remain faithful. Believing that your faith can move mountains. The word defines faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. So tell me if it’s not seen what else is there to back up faith???
Let us remember that faith is tested(read post This is Faith: Test of Faith) which is meant to put work behind the faith that we have.
When you are tested on something, the knowledge or skill you have a certain subject is put to work. So when you are being tested don’t crumble under the pressure. Just know the test just calls for you to show how much work you put with your faith, how much you believe in God, how strong you and your faith are. Faith with works is important. Don’t let your faith die.
Walk by Faith. Move w/o Fear.
